Here's the kittens helping me untangle our Christmas tree beads.

Kitten visits have started. We'll probably be keeping the girl, but all 3 show potential and as long as one hasn't been reserved we'll consider showing the kitten.

Kittens are a month old now and have just started interacting with us. We'll be spending the next week socializing them and getting to know their personalities. So far it looks like all shorthair and folded, 2 males (1 with spots and 1 without) and 1 female with no spots. We will probably be keeping 1 of the boys to show and will be deciding in the next week which. Visits and reservations may start next week or the week of the 15th for sure.

Here's the supreme cake we brought to the Olympia cat show to celebrate our cat's Supreme Grand Champion.

Kittens are 2.5 weeks old. I just got my camera back from the shop so I can post high quality kittens pics again. Their eyes are open and the are starting to look around. Ears are just starting to fold so we should know in about a week which are folded or straight.

Here's our show schedule for the next few months. You can stop by and see our dad cat and talk to us. The kittens won't be at the shows.

Kittens are a week old. We lost the runt of the litter, the one looking towards the camera in this pictures. She stopped nursing yesterday and started breathing hard. We brought her to the emergency vet last night and they didn't seem too concerned, just said she might have pneumonia. They gave her antibiotics and we asked about a feeding catheter again and they said not to worry unless she lost weight but antibiotics would take 2-3 days to work and try to bottle feed every two hours. 8 hours later she went from 7 oz to 6.4 so we brought her back in and they said she looked like she was deing and wasn't much to do. We asked again for a feeding tube which they finally gave us (and we now have on hand in case we get another fading kitten). We gave her feedings every two hours today and set her up in an incubator but her breathing got worse. When she struggled with her last breaths I gave her kitten cpr. I heard and felt the gurgling in her lungs so it probably was pneumonia. The rest of the kittens are super fat and rolly polly.

Kittens were born this morning. There are 4 white. Sex, ear, and hair length to be determined as they get older.

Duchess at her first cat show. She got 3rd best kitten in this ring. She had a blast in the hotel room jumping on the beds and looking at herself in the mirror.

Nina and Jammy (Benjamin) are on honeymoon and may be expecting kittens on Nov 2nd.

Here's our straight eared boy being shown in Yakima and Sacramento. He made Quadruple Grand Champion in Yakima.

Here's our new blue british shorthair, Duchess. She'll be a future queen in about a year. Thanks to Beauty Tracks for this cute girl!

We got #1 long hair kitten twice this weekend at Chehalis and 2nd best all breed kitten and 3rd best all breed kitten in other rings. We'll be at Maple Ridge, BC next month which will be his first adult show in which he will start working towards his championships. Kitten ones don't count so these first two were just practise.

We're going to our next cat show in Chehalis on June 13-14. I'll be there Sunday for sure, but my husband may be there on Sat if I can't get someone to cover my work shift.

So we went to our first cat show over the weekend. Our boy got 5th best longhair in one ring on Sat and 9th best overall kitten in another ring on Sun. He did pretty good. The other screaming cats scared him a bit. His first ring he was surrounded by screaming bengals who were shaking his cage on both sides. The other cats sounded like our shelter cat going to the vet. And that's what these cats sound like all the time. I didn't get very good pics because I had problems with my lens the first day and by the time I figured it out the second day the battery was almost dead.

This boy is going to his first cat show on May 30-31 in Olympia. Here he is helping me make his cat show curtains. Come on by if you'd like to see our current dad and this boy who will be our future dad.
